Live-out Cook/Chef needed to join existing domestic staff on a beautiful 150-acre private, semi-formal ranch in North Carolina. Will be responsible for weekly menu planning, grocery shopping, stocking the kitchen and keeping it neat and orderly at all times. Will primarily be cooking for the two principals (wife & husband) who enjoy healthier, low-carb, low-salt cuisine but must also be capable of cooking for complicated dishes when entertaining. The principals will have occasional dinner parties (10 to 12 a month) and may have up to 16 guests at a time. Larger events occur on a monthly basis and cook/chef should be comfortable cooking for large groups of people.

Cook/chef will be responsible for proposing weekly menu to the Butler and then procuring the groceries needed for the week. Will be responsible for stocking and organizing the kitchen as well as cleaning up after meals. Lunch is generally served at 1pm while dinner is between 5pm and 6pm. Timing is very important and ideal candidates will be self-starters that can organize their day to accomplish any shopping or errands while still being able to provide lunch and dinner at the scheduled times (there is a nice team environment already established and PA or Housekeeper may be able to assist with errands on occasion). Must be very animal friendly and willing to feed, walk, medicate and handle the family dogs daily.

Occasional travel to homes in Memphis and Atlanta for larger dinner parties is required. Housing will be provided in those locations for the cook/chef.
