Live-Out Houseman
Seeking a trustworthy and reliable Houseman to assist a lovely couple in Greenwich, CT in their formal home. The candidate should be bright, proactive, neat, meticulous with detail, discreet and have good driving skills and a squeaky-clean motor vehicle record and background!
Duties:
•Manage the maintenance of the client’s property such as maintenance and repairs of the pool (calling them vendor when needed).
•Drive the client and family members for various appointments and to the airport
•Schedule required maintenance of client’s vehicles
•Take care of client’s dogs (2) MUST LOVE DOGS!
•Daily errands as needed and housekeeping on the Housekeepers two days off (change duvet, a load of laundry, clean bathrooms)
The Houseman will be responsible for a range of tasks, including but not limited to: taking care of two dogs (medications, vet), all grocery shopping and errands, keeping the house stocked, indoor cleaning, minor repairs and maintenance (changing lightbulbs, etc.), maintaining the family cars, watering plants in containers around the property, blowing leaves, emptying pool filters, maintaining outdoor furniture, filling bird feeders, ensuring the property is well-maintained, and driving principals when needed. Will assist catering staff, including serving, as needed during events and deal with contractors such as gardeners, exterminators, plumbers who are required as needed.
The Houseman will work alongside the Housekeeper to ensure that the home is maintained to the highest standards and is always guest ready. Must be a team player, organized and flexible. The family has two dogs and pet care is a large part of the job! A valid driver’s license is required, and a car is provided for work purposes.
Ideal schedule is Sunday-Wednesday and Friday, 8am-6pm and must be available for overnights as needed. Thursdays and Saturdays off. $78k salary.
Qualifications:
