Property Caretaker

Montana candidates, as well as those who live outside of the state, are welcome to apply for this role!  This is a beautiful retreat property 1 hour and 20 minutes outside of Missoula, Montana.  It is an on-site Property/Ranch Caretaker position; serious inquiries only please, as this stunning 8,900-acre property needs a true professional!  There is a 2-bedroom house on the property provided for the caretaker.  The goal of the caretaker is to ensure everything is running smoothly and securely.  We are seeking someone who can be a warm and welcoming presence for guests, staff, and the surrounding community.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable being the go-to person during on and off-hours while engaging in daily collaboration with a dynamic and committed team.  Some of the duties listed will include but are not limited to:

-Working with the landscaping team to provide sustainable and intentional landscaping efforts (weeding, planting, watering).

-Assist in land stewardship, including forestry, fencing, weed control, and wildlife monitoring.

-Collaborate with the permaculture team on fruit and vegetable growing and harvesting.

-Provide support to the maintenance team by assisting with repairs to mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and water systems.

-Conduct routine inspections of all buildings and property to identify and proactively address maintenance needs.

-Hands-on abilities and resourcefulness is KEY.  Experience with maintenance as well as hospitality.  Must be a team player!
