Ranch Manager

We are seeking a responsible and experienced Live-in Ranch Manager to oversee the daily operations and care of a private working ranch property in Bolinas, CA. Our wonderful clients are very motivated to hire! The ideal candidate is a hands-on, self-motivated individual with strong horse care (familiarity with Dressage a HUGE plus), and general maintenance skills who can manage the property independently and professionally.  This position includes on-site housing and requires someone who is comfortable living on the ranch full-time and managing all aspects of the property.  

Requirements:  Minimum 3 years experience managing a horse property or similar ranch operation

• Daily feeding, watering, turnout, and bathing/grooming for up to 6 horses/poniesStall mucking, paddock maintenance, and routine health monitoring
• Coordination with farriers, veterinarians, and trainers
• Exercising performance horses on a regular schedule
• Saddle/tack up/untack horses for owners to ride
• Care of two alpacas and two dogs also possible

• Maintain and manage barn, covered arena, and tack room
• Oversee fencing, pasture rotation, water lines, and other infrastructure
• Ensure arena footing is groomed and maintained
• Rodent and pest control
• Clean tack and be responsible for washing blankets, saddle pads, and keeping supplies tidy and available

• Operate and maintain ranch equipment (tractors, mowers, etc.)
• General landscaping and upkeep of grounds
• Identify and address property repairs or safety concerns
• Schedule and supervise vendors, deliveries, and maintenance services
• Track supplies (hay, bedding, feed) and manage inventory
• Communicate regularly with property owners
